What is National Bible Bee?

National Bible Bee headquarters is located in San Antonio, Texas. In 2009, the ministry was founded with the mission to engage young people in the memorization and study of God’s Word and provide opportunities to proclaim it through local, national and broadcast competitions. National Bible Bee developed a Summer Study to help cultivate not only a heart to memorize God’s Word but also to understand and apply Scripture to daily life.

National Bible Bee has two seasons: The Summer Study and the National Bible Bee Competition

Summer Study

During the Summer Study, young people learn how to unlock the Scriptures and memorize God’s Word. Whether they are studying on their own or taking part within a church or other hosted group, the participants use the 8-week Summer Study Discovery Journal, Memory Passage Cards and other resources to learn how to study the Scriptures for themselves in as little as 20 minutes a day with the option of a deeper study.

Competition

At the end of the Summer Study, participants have the opportunity to qualify for the National Bible Bee Competition through the Qualifying Test that allows them to be ranked nationally. If the participant scores within the top 120 of their age division and have met all the other requirements, they will be invited to be a contestant at the National Bible Bee Competition. These top 360 participants compete for over $100,000 in prize money as they are tested on Bible knowledge and additional memory passages.
