Statement of Faith:
We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God to man, the infallible, all-sufficient, final authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
"All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness." – II Timothy 3:16
We believe in one infinite, triune God: Father, Son and the Holy Spirit.
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." – John 1:1
"For in Him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily." – Colossians 2:9
"But Peter said, 'Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and to keep back for yourself part of the proceeds of the land? While it remained unsold, did it not remain your own? And after it was sold, was it not at your disposal? Why is it that you have contrived this deed in your heart? You have not lied to man but to God.' " – Acts 5:3, 4
We believe Jesus Christ is true God and true man, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. Having lived without sin, He died and was resurrected in His own body for our atonement and resurrection.
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen His glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth." – John 1:1, 14
" 'Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel' (which means, God with us). When Joseph woke from sleep, he did as the angel of the Lord commanded him: he took his wife." – Matthew 1:23, 24
"For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin." – Hebrews 4:15
"Now I would remind you, brothers, of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, and by which you are being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you—unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures." – I Corinthians 15:1-4
"Jesus answered them, 'Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.' The Jews then said, 'It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and will you raise it up in three days?' But He was speaking about the temple of His body." – John 2:19-21
"That the Christ must suffer and that, by being the first to rise from the dead, He would proclaim light both to our people and to the Gentiles." – Acts 26:23
"But in fact Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. But each in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, then at His coming those who belong to Christ." – I Corinthians 15:20, 23
We believe that only through Christ's death on the cross, by the shedding of His blood and His resurrection we are saved and justified. Salvation is by grace, through faith and is the free gift of God.
"For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast." – Ephesians 2:8, 9
"Since, therefore, we have now been justified by His blood, much more shall we be saved by Him from the wrath of God." – Romans 5:9
"In him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace." – Ephesians 1:7
We believe in the bodily resurrection of all mankind: of the believer to an everlasting dwelling with God in heaven, of the nonbeliever to an everlasting separation from God in hell.
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through Him. Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.” – John 3:16-18
"Do not marvel at this, for an hour is coming when all who are in the tombs will hear His voice and come out, those who have done good to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil to the resurrection of judgment." – John 5:28-29
We believe that the Holy Spirit, indwelling in the believer, enables him/her to live a godly life.
"For if you live according to the flesh you will die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God." – Romans 8:13, 14
"Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you?" – I Corinthians 3:16
"And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption." – Ephesians 4:30
"And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit" – Ephesians 5:18
We believe in the imminent return of the Lord Jesus Christ.
"But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep. For this we declare to you by a word from the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. Therefore encourage one another with these words." – I Thessalonians 4:13-18
